chicago italian beef: i found a coupon in the houston press for a free chicago style hot dog with the purchase of any sandwich. stephanie mentioned the pastrami sammich, and since i have never had that before i just had to try it. the hot dog was pretty good (i took the tomatoes off since there is a salmonella scare right now) and the sandwich was absolutely delicious! it had thin slices of juicy pastrami, pickles, sauerkraut, provolone & onions on rye. the entire thing was $6! chicago italian beef

central market sammich: ben and i stopped at central market after work to have a sandwich on the patio. we used to go all of the time but haven’t been in probably a year. we have been missing out, they’re better than ever. i did the “Create your own” and had garlic & herb spread with avocado, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled asparagus, sauerkraut, capers, pepperocinis on sourdough. drool. $4.49
